Now you do not have to read this but this is a warning. If you do not agree with my religion fine, but I am just trying to share the Gospel the way Jesus would want us to. Jesus Christ was born and he died on the cross for everyone so that one day we can live with him in Glory. Now, I know this is a site about sports, but I love sharing faith as much as I can. Note: I have failed to express my faith a lot, and I have even failed to watch what I say on these boards. I have cursed, I have bashed, and I have even accused, I fall short of his Glory everyday, but I stay strong in his Word.

1) Admit you are a sinner and turn away from your sin.

Acts 3:19 says: "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." (NIV)
Repent literally means "a change of mind that results in a change of action." To repent, then, means to admit you are a sinner. You change your mind to agree with God that you are a sinner. The resulting "change in action" is, of course, the turning away from sin.

2) Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from your sins and give you eternal life.

John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (NLT)
Believing in Jesus is also a part of repenting. You change your mind from unbelief to belief, which results in a change of action.

C. Confess that Jesus is your Lord.
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 (See verse 10.)

D. Be baptized(submersion) for the forgiveness of your sins

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them "Repent and each of you be baptized in the name of jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins(the only CORRECT reason to be baptized) and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 3:27 For all of you who were baptized  into Christ Jesus have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Romans 6:3 Or do you not know thwt those of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? (4) Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into his death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too m ight walk in newness of light.

1 Peter 3:21 Correspondin to that baptism now saves you not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience-- through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Acts 16:31, Acts 22:16, Colossians 2:12, Mark 1:4, Acts 9:18 Ephesians 4:5 also state how baptism is ESSENTIAL to salvation.

Jesus himself was baptized
, and upon doing so the heavens opened and he heard a voice saying "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased" Matthew 3:17

Whether you choose tob elieve it or not is up to you, this is my belief, not because I say so but because IT IS THE TEACHING OF THE WORD OF GOD.

Preaching to the choir...  You sound alot like me, though, but better because you claim to read your bible far more than I.  Remain steadfast, brother.  Keep looking in the mirror and you'll be alright.
